You Will Always Be Special

I know you don't care about me anymore,
I know you have found someone else,
To replace me in your heart.
I know you have lost all
The feelings you had for me.
What I don't know is how
To take you out of my heart and life.

The pain I feel when I think about you,
And the wonderful times we had together.
The pain I feel everytime
I read those messages you used to give me.
The pain I feel when I see
All those small gifts you used to give me.
The pain I feel is so unbearable.

You came into my life and made me whole,
You came and filled a space I never knew existed.
I never knew I had an empty space in my life.
I never knew there was such a thing called friendship,
But you came and gave me that friendship.

Now how can you be so cruel to my heart,
How can you break my heart like this,
How can you introduce such a thing to me,
Then take it away from me with such cruelty.
Really how can you give me all the love and friendship
Then take it away again.

The one thing I realize and know
Is that I cannot control your life.
You have your life that you have to live.
I cannot force you into a friendship you need.
I cannot offer glitz and glammor,
But I can only offer you my free love and friendship.
And my love and friendship for you is piceless.

I accept that you no longer care for me,
It is said that if you love someone, set them free,
If they come back, then be sure that you belong together,
But if they don't then you were never meant to be.
I have decided to set you free,
Should you decide to come back,
I will accept you, but if you don't
I will accept that too with a brken and bleeding heart.

I want you to know that I will always care,
You will always have a place in my heart.
I will never forget you and the times we had together.
You were my only friend and I will treasure our friendship.
